The Lancashire Constabulary are planning to cut crime in the Lancs area. Not by patrolling. Not by installing CCTV. Not even by neighbourhood watch. No, the plan to reduce crime consists of the police force stopping suspicious cars that are travelling into Lancashire from Merseyside and Greater Manchester. Assistant Chief Constable Andy Cooke says that if they want to come to Lancashire to commit crime, then not to bother as they’ll get caught. The song ‘I predict a riot’ comes to mind!
