North Manchester police are to implement a new scheme with the aim of reducing burglaries. This follows in the footsteps of other communities that have implemented similar schemes and seen massive success and crime reduction.

More cost-effective than CCTV and security guards is the SelectaDNA product. A unique DNA code registered to each and every home is used to mark property which allows police to return stolen items to their owners and also has the benefit of deterring burglars. Over 700 homes in North Manchester and a primary school in New Moston will take part in the scheme.
