Symantec has obviously grown nervous after hearing that Microsoft has been giving away free antivirus software – not one to be left out of the limelight, Symantec has now released some free web security software of its own. Quick, grab it while it’s free!

Norton Safe Web Lite, which works with all the major search engines, is a link-checking software. Although not a complete set of antivirus software, it’s a step in the right direction at least, ensuring that customers don’t completely forget about Symantec. Either way, it’s good for those security-conscious customers!
