Facebook has been accused of massively failing to protect its members after Ashleigh Hall aged 17, was found murdered in County Durham. Ashleigh was lured to meet her murderer via popular social networking site Facebook and met her death towards the end of last year.
Facebook and MySpace have been soundly criticised by the Lib Dems after both organisations failed to join the Home Office’s Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre which would add a button to each page of the websites, a panic button hat would offer social networking safety advice.
