Security firm Trusteer has released some new statistics. Apparently, 73% of bank customers use their online bank passwords for another site and around 47% of people use both their online banking username and password for other accounts. When you think about it, that means that if a cybercriminal gets ahold of your username and password from any site you’ve used it on, you can pretty much kiss goodbye to your ass…ets. But how difficult is it to have a different username and password when you can have so many different accounts? There’s online banking, eBay, social networking sites, any site you sign up for which can be hundreds…it’s no wonder people keep the same password! That’s why something like SSO (Single Sign On) is good. A lot easier than writing little hints and clues here and there anyway!
