A new white paper released in China has shown that the Chinese government aren’t going to let U.S. disapproval stand in the way of their censorship. The white paper pretty much says that China will continue to censor political content and content to do with ethnic unrest and it isn’t going to take any criticism from any other governments about it.
Google recently closed down its Chinese search engine after a row over IT security, data safety and censorship. With the massive publicity, many thought that this would pressure the Chinese government into mending its ways but to no avail. Still, at least the white paper contained some optimistic wants of getting more people on the internet in China!
