Before you type that next Tweet or update your status on Facebook, just stop and think. Although you may be itching to let all of your real and virtual friends know about the great day you’ve had or the deal you just made or the last-minute holiday to Cuba that you just booked, consider who else could be looking at the information you put up for the world to see. Maybe the credit card fraud expert who now knows you like to visit a certain shop every break time with your credit card. Or the burglar who now knows that your house will be empty when you jet off to Cuba. Or even, the rival company who know that you’re working on a big deal. The smallest details written in all innocence on your social networking sites can often come back to haunt you. For the sake of security, think before you type.
