Cable & Wireless Worldwide, under a new deal, is to provide IP telephony and voice communication systems for United Utilities, the UKs largest water plant. The contract includes providing services for data centres, contact centres and water plants.

As well as providing United Utilities with new and secure telephone and communications systems to replace the more dated ones, the new system will also mean the easy addition of data applications such as IP CCTV which will come in handy for securing the more remote water sites.
