Celso Amorim the Brazilian Foreign Minister has spoken out about the UN Security Council. As the UN Security Council met on Monday, Celso Amorim said that changes should be made to ‘reflect the current global situation.’

According to Celso Amorim, the structure of the UN Security Council hasn’t changed for decades and still reflects the world as it was 65 years ago – which is blatantly not the world we know today.

The reform is inevitable,” Celso Amorim said. He has also criticised the UN Security Council over certain security systems and reforms it has put into place.
