In 2004, crime cost the UK £64 billion per year. That figure has now risen to around £78 billion as lawlessness seems to become the rule rather than the exception. Security product manufacturers Viseum believe they have found a way to combat at least some of the crime in the UK though – and some of the cost.

Viseum are soon to launch their new IMC (Intelligent Moving Camera) CCTV systems. During its trial, the IMC was tested in 10 different areas and all saw a sever drop in crime. Viseum are now trying to research just how much the IMC systems could save the UK each year in crime costs – as well as how much crime they could prevent.
