Labour has pledged that people will be given the right to petition for CCTV cameras in their communities. This comes as part of Labour’s law and order plans should they win the general election.

Speaking out in favour of the plan is Katie Piper, a woman who has undergone a lot of painful surgery to rebuild her face after a vicious and cowardly acid attack. Ms. Piper says that without CCTV, there was a good chance her attackers would have walked free instead of spending life in prison.
