There’s always one idiot who has to ruin it, don’t you find? The new, full-body ‘naked’ scanners that are being rolled out across airports have caused massive controversy already amidst fears that security guards will use the scanners inappropriately instead of dispassionately and professionally. And of course, one pleb has to go and prove the worry-warts right.

Heathrow airport, a male security guard uses the new scanners to take a picture of, and make inappropriate remarks about, a female colleague. He’s given a police warning, but the damage has already been done. Thankfully, bosses are showing common sense for once and continuing the roll-out of the new scanners – well, there’s a first time for everything!

The (ISC)2 2010 Career Impact Survey shows that 2010 promises to be a very good year. In 2009, the survey shows that, of the people surveyed, over half of information security people received an increase in their salary. Despite the recession, less than 5% of the sample survey lost their jobs in 2009 – and that’s in spite of the recession! The survey questioned around 3,000 professionals from around the world.
